The Outdoors activities are developed for grade levels 3-5 and up and take approximately 40 min. Webquests have Teacher pages and Student pages for convenience.

Standards
This activity fulfills National Science Education Standards, National Health Education Standards and National Standards for Physical Education.. Full details, please download "National Educational Standards for Outdoor Activities" (pdf).

Outdoors: Heart
Grades 3-5
Time 30 min
Summary
Students will learn about the heart and its beating rate. By measuring their heart rate before and after exercising they will explore healthy behaviors for the heart!
