All Webquests are developed for grade levels 3-5 and take approximately 40 min. Webquests have Teacher pages and Student pages for convenience.

Standards
These activities fulfill standards in Science in Personal and Social Perspectives, and have Performance Indications regarding technology. Full details, please download "National Educational Standards for Webquests" (pdf).

Heart Webquest

Grade Level 3-5
Activity Time 40 min each
Summary Students will explore the causes and effects of heart attacks, and how regenerative medicine can help the heart. Students will research regenerative medicine using the Internet and then complete a Webquest. When finished, students will create a project of their choice.

Bone Webquest

Grade Level 3-5
Activity Time 40 min each
Summary Students will acquire new knowledge about bones: how they are formed, how they can be broken, and new regenerative medicine technologies being developed for bones by researching on-line using the Webquest. When finished, students will create a project of their choice.



Spinal Cord Webquest

Grade Level 3-5
Activity Time 40 min each
Summary Students will acquire new knowledge about the spinal cord: what it is and how does it work? How can it be injured and what new regenerative medicine technologies are being developed to help it heal? by researching on-line using the Webquest. When finished, students will create a project of their choice.


Immune Webquest
Sergeant Cell's Immune System Defense Team Webquest

Grade Level 3-5
Activity Time 40 min each
Summary Comparing immune cells with a police team, the webquest activity guides students to research the immune system online. At the end of their research, students will create "Profiles" for the molecule or cell of their choice.
